Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been offered a new £9 million-a-year contract at Manchester United.
The Norwegian boss will see his three-year contract expire next year and is set to talk about the new deal any day.
The 48-year-old will be offered an extension and a pay rise to his current £7 million annual salary.
The club’s chief executive Ed Woodward praised the manager at the shareholder meeting earlier this month and said, “The progress made by Ole and the players this season is clear and is adding to the optimism we feel about the future on and off the pitch.”
The board has confirmed that it won’t buy any players he doesn’t want as it believes Solskjaer has restored the club’s confidence.
